The whole secret of life is to be interested in one thing profoundly and in a thousand things well. —Horace Walpole

Every morning I use the app ‘Brainy Quote’ and select a quote to place underneath the heading of that day’s journal. Today I was introduced to Horace Walpole (1717 – 1797) an English aristocrat, The 4th Earl of Oxford, and a renowned writer, philosopher, politician, and if that was not enough, an antiquarian and historian to boot. Quite impressive by any standard.

I will be looking a little more deeply into his life and times for I feel there will be some substance in the mix that will help me understand and weather the current storm of geo-politics which is raging around us.
